PrimariLink is a Retreat Healthcare Resource. It began operations in 1997 with the philosophy of providing; ‘the right care, at the right time and in the right setting.’ It currently manages the behavioral health care needs of approximately 25,000 Vermont HMO and PPO residents.
Services provided include:
- Utilization Management
- Quality Improvement
- Case Management Services
- Network Development and Provider Training
- 24/7 access to care 365 days per year
Experienced and practicing psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and nurses, from Northern New England’s top provider of psychiatric care, the Brattleboro Retreat, perform PrimariLink’s services.
PrimariLink’s mission is simple: ‘the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.’ It’s a belief that leads to cost effective services and a solid reputation in a difficult managed care environment for both itself and its health care sponsor.
The results:
- Satisfaction scores exceeding 96%
- Successful completion of Rule 10 Triennial Review
- A strong collaborative relationship with MVP Health Plan leading to survey scores of 100% compliance with NCQA standards
- Rule 10 filings that exceed regulatory standards for: Utilization Management Time Frames
- Department of Health Care Administration QI projects that involve collaborative efforts with the provider community; most recently involving the redesign of the Outpatient Treatment Report, which has led to a 99% approval rating by providers regarding the format.
- Network Development that includes face to face provider contact and training
- PrimariLink has been part of the behavioral health partnership working with the Vermont Child Health Improvement Project (VCHIP) to improve screening and referral services for adolescents with substance abuse problems
